We still believe that it is more important to give a new country to "small pistol" than to give a 9th band QSO to a "big gun" station. By doing this, we hope to fulfill the demand for a "new one", especially from stations located in Japan and the rest of the Far East.

J79L

Today I received email confirmation of callsign for SP9FIH. It will be J79L - short and  easy in the contest. Kazik is still waiting for his callsign from Dominica.

Our QTH

After checking several places and their surroundings we decided to transmit from north-east part of Dominica Island. Our antennas wil be on a cliff about 50m above see level and about 60-170m from seashore depending on direction. According to Google maps terrain around seems to be sloping in all major directions (towards Japan - short and long path, and towards Europe). Nearest village is called Calibishie.

Timetable

We plan to work on amateur bands from 18th October 2014 until 26th October 2014 with special attention to CQ WW SSB Contest where two stations will run SOSB - probably on 40m and one of the higher bands.

Heading to Dominica Island

After enjoyable trip to British Virgin Islads two of us decided to visit Dominica in autumn 2014. Our main goals are to participate in CQ WW SSB Contest as two SOSB stations and to work as many stations as possible from Asia before contest.
